Welcome to Terrific Scientific!

Terrific Scientific is an exciting nationwide primary science project from the BBC aimed at 9-11 year olds and their teachers.

Our goal is to inspire primary school pupils to discover their inner scientist. We have partnered with leading universities to create a series of child-friendly nationwide scientific investigations firmly rooted in the Key Stage 2/Level 2 science curriculum.

By registering, the data you and your class gather will feed into real academic studies, contributing to some of the biggest mass-participation scientific investigations that have ever happened in the UK. You will also be able to locate your school and class on our unique map of the UK, submit your investigation results and see them appear on the map in real time and compare your results to schools across the UK for further learning opportunities.

We hope your pupils enjoy taking part in a year of terrific science!

Please fill in the short form below to register. We simply ask where your school is located for our interactive map and the classes that you want to take part. Before completing the form, please take a look at our Terrific Scientific registration guidelines.

We need to know which classes you want to take part. If you want to register more than one class you can do that too. Please add the class details and click on the add class button. To add further classes, simply repeat the process and you will be able to see the classes you have added.
